Last month I saw someone using YouTube as a music player and thought "what a neat idea!". I mean it is quite obvious once you see it. YouTube has all the ingredients to make it work: lots of music videos and a playlist feature called quicklist which allows you to play a list of videos in a defined order.

You can even take it one step higher. There are lots of air apps (e.g. FLVPlay) which remove the need to use the limiting web interface and replace it with a much richer user experience by using flash.

So the next time you are at a party and you need a music player just use YouTube's quicklist feature.
I am not sure who recommended this site to me but I am glad someone did! La Blogotheque is a French site which has all sorts of videos of your favorite indie bands. However those are not your usual music videos. Instead you can find artists walking, singing through the streets of Paris or on rooftops.

If you like indie music make sure to have a look but be warned it can be a major time waster.
have to admit I am a big music fan. I love to hear to all kinds of music, go to concerts, talk about my favourite songs. So during the last months I was a little bit disappointed because I wasn't able to discover new bands which I liked. Last week I finally was able to get some new favourites. A good friend of mine introduced me to Interpol and WOW they rock. Furthermore my favourite radio station played some songs from Bloc Party which are pretty cool, too. So if you are looking for new music be sure to check them out. Speaking of music I finally found the mp3 player which I will buy when it comes out next month. It's the iRiver H10 (20gb) the 5gb model looks great but I need a bigger capacity for my music collection. You can take a look at the 5gb version here.
