Title: Exploratory testing or ways to improve your manual testing skills
My Slides Articles
- Cem Kaner has an excellent collection of articles covering a wide range of testing topics: http://kaner.com/articles.html
- James Bach has another interesting collection of articles: http://www.satisfice.com/articles.shtml
- Brian Marick's collection of essays and papers: http://www.testing.com/writings.html
There are a few blogs which I have followed or still follow.
- My favourite at the moment is The Braidy Tester which is published by Michael Hunter at Microsoft.
- Brian Marick
- James Bach
- Bret Pettichord
- Elisabeth Hendrickson (good blogroll)
There are a few good books available.
- I would recommend Testing Computer Software by Cem Kaner, Jack Falk and Hung Q.Nguyen. It's truly a classic and according to some critics "the best selling testing book ever written".
- If you can read german have a look at Basiswissen Softwaretest, by Andreas Spillner / Tilo Linz, which gives a good introduction into the world of testing.
- Google TechTalk by Jon Bach about Exploratory Testing. Jon is one of the leading experts in this field (link or embedded version below).
- A Course in Black Box Testing A complete testing course with video lectures in which Cem Kaner is the driving force. Highly recommended. You can find the course site here.
